York Cornerstone Juniors welcomed the boys from Aurora last night at Levitt Stadium and despite a few tough calls and some early season pitching woes they were poised to win in the top of the sixth.
The Juniors took a 7-4 lead into the sixth inning and Aurora scored two runs on one hit and three free passes. In the seventh inning, Aurora took advantage of two walks, two hit batsmen and two hits to plate five runs to win 10-7.
The Juniors offensive attack was led by Andrew Allen and Jeremy Swanson, both with three hits apiece. Haden Doht added a two-RBI single in the fourth to give York a 6-4 lead.
The Juniors (now 2-2 on the season and 1-1 in conference play) are back in action tonight when they travel to Central City fora 5:30game at Kernel Field.
